Foon

Foon is a simple multiplayer game based around a board and some easy to learn moves. Its no where near finished, developed as a prototype of the idea, it will be revisited later (along with a few others that are currently in developement).

Mini Adventure

My attempt at a MMORPG. Based around the Zeldaesque sprites from RPGMaker2000 the aim is really to build a complete dynamic world and a highly scalable and stable server.
Its currently at an early stage of development. The server is live and we get a few new players each day although the repeat business isn't great since there isn't actually much active content. Much of the recent development has been on the tools to support creating the game world.

AstroPrime

Astroprime was intended to be a 2D version of elite. It became more of shooting game for a while with some very clever network code. A lot of folks played it and enjoyed blasting each other. However, I really wanted to move it towards a large scale trading game.
Actually, the development turned in to more of an exercise in creative writing as a started to realise quite how much I enjoyed writing scifi for the background story. You can still find three examples of the background fiction in the "Writs" section of this website.

Sprites of the Sky

My attempt at a 1942 style game. Like most of my hobbiest projects it was an experiment, in this case into fast graphics, large numbers of collisions and twitch controls. It has a single level thats playable and small design tool to build the landscape.
Both the source and game are still available.

Warlock

Around 2002 I realised that writing large scale games as a hobbiest is very difficult and it helps to be able to try out other ideas without losing interest in the main project. Warlock was the first project I worked on as a "40 Hour Development". Its also one of few games that I've completed to my satisfaction.
The game itself is a puzzle/twitch game in which the player controls a wizard that must collect keys to reach the exit and complete the levels. Both the source and game are still available.
